We finally opened our Hungarian-Serbian cross-border project, titled "Together for Common Future, Our Common Cultural Heritage"!
Through the cooperation of the István Türr Museum in Baja, the Subotica City Museum and the Vojvodina Heritage Protection Office, we have the possibility to research, process, restore, exhibit and publish documentation of the 17th-19th century cross-border cultural hertiage of the Southern and Northern Backa region.
Between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2019, we will reveal a series of exhibitions, publications and conferences about Backa's common Baroque, Classicist and Art Nouveau heritage. This will be achieved through close partnership with several historical, art historical and heritage experts from Serbian and Hungarian scientific institutions.
But perhaps, what the most exciting for us is that the Türr István Museum will also get a new, modern restoration workshop space.
The project is implemented under the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Program, co-financed by the European Union.
